CURLING DAY IN CANADA
Port Moody Curling Club is getting in on the Curling Day in Canada festivities, happening this year on Saturday February 21, 2026
From 10am to 12pm we will be having an Open House, where we welcome members of the general public to learn about the club and get on the ice to throw a rock or two. Club members are encouraged to bring their family and friends to discover curling. We will also need on-ice and off-ice volunteers.
During the Open House, one sheet will be reserved for Canada’s Big Shootout, a national competition to see which club can cover the pin most often in 30 minutes. This event is open only to club members.
Then, starting at 12:30pm we are bringing back the PMCC Funpsiel! Each team will play three 4-end games with different fun formats, with cash prizes for game winners. In addition, we will have the inaugural PMCC Skills Competition, a team-based event with six different stations (draw the button, hit-and-stick, double-takeout, draw through a port, and more). Prizes will be awarded for the teams that score the most points.
The cost for the funspiel is $50 + GST per person, and that includes your three games, skills competition, and a catered dinner. Enter as a team, or enter as an individual and we’ll place you on a team.
