This is the Club’s first Bonspiel and the start up of our winter season following our Christmas break.
This is a MIXED fun and social spiel to get the body moving after the holidays!! It is a three-day
event with two games each on Monday and Tuesday, and the final game Wednesday morning,
followed by a luncheon. This spiel is put on by volunteers from the Senior Men and Ladies league.
Draw Times:
● Monday and Tuesday: 9:30 am and 1:00 pm.
● Wednesday: 9:30 am only.
● Games will be 8 ends or 2 hrs in length.

When signing up please note what position you would like to play. Teams will be made up by the
bonspiel committee, maximum 12 teams.
Format of play is a round robin with 2 pts being awarded for a win and 1pt for a tie. If there is a tie
situation the tie is broken first by most ends won and then highest score total.
Details:
● Open to Port Moody Curling members over the age of 18
● First 48 players to sign up will be included and a waitlist will be available in case of
cancellations.
● 50/50 tickets will be sold daily and the draws will be held on each day.
● Lunch will be served on Wednesday at 12:15 in the banquet room upstairs
● Wednesday is an optional dress-up day. The theme this year will be a Movie or Song Title,
there will be one team prize of $40 for those teams wishing to participate. To be eligible all
players on a team must contribute towards a common theme.
● Spares can only play up to the position they are replacing
● The winning team of each game will receive $20 for a win and $10 each for a tie. An extra
Prizes will be awarded to the top 4 teams (assuming 12 teams participate approximately
$1,000 is set aside for prizes).
