Emergency Action Plan

Competition coaches are trained to complete an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and a Site Evaluation before entering a competition at a new club.

The information provided here can be used to help complete a standard EAP as described in the CCA competition coach workbook

Take Barnett Highway to Ioco Rd. Go north on Ioco Rd to intersection with Newport Drive. Turn west on Newport drive towards city hall. Turn right onto Knowle St. Parking lot entrance on the left.
Description of Emergency Entrance to Curling Club
Enter at the main entrance in the center of the building. Curling rink is strait ahead.

1st AED: Is on the wall in the entrance hall to Rink 1. North and east of the curling rink. Exit rink from sheet 6 door. Go left, then right up the ramp to the entry hall. AED will be on wall to your left. 2nd AED: Is on the wall in the main lobby beside the front desk and accessible washroom.
Location of Nearest Hospital
Eagle Ridge Hospital is 1 block away. Exit parking lot. Turn left onto Knowle Street. proceed to end and turn right onto Ioco Rd. Continue strait though light, Street becomes Ungless Rd. Eagle Rigde hospital entrance on the left. Follow signs to back of hospital to emergency room entrance.

In case of Ammonia leak exit via the front exit. Ammonia will be flushed out the back of the building, and exiting out the rear doors is dangerous.

In case of Fire, Carbon Monoxide leak or other emergency, exit via the nearest door.
