School Groups
Bring your school or youth group to try curling!
The Port Moody Curling Club welcomes school groups and youth community groups to get on the ice and learn the sport of curling. We provide instruction, equipment, and insurance to give young people a chance to get on the ice and give curling a try.
Our fee for school and youth groups in 2026-27 is $60 per hour per sheet of ice. You must book a minimum of one hour. We are an accessible club and welcome wheelchair curlers.
Generally, our time slot for school groups is Thursdays between 12pm and 4pm. We also have some availability on Monday afternoons (please inquire). Click here to see our current availability.
Please note:
- Curling equipment (brooms, grippers, sliders, stabilizers) are provided. Participants should bring clean shoes to change into.
- Helmets are mandatory for ages 12 and under, and recommended for all ages. Helmets are not provided and participants must bring their own helmets (hockey or bike helmets are suitable for curling)
- The cost includes one instructor per sheet. We will provide a suitable course of instruction to have all participants learn the basics of curling and then play a short game by the end of their session
- Maximum capacity is 6 curlers per sheet, 36 curlers total
- Minimum age is 10 years
- Although our system may show availability, your booking is not finalized until you have confirmation from our club manager.
- Booking is subject to coach availability
