Sweeping Into the Holidays kicks off the festive season with a two-day open bonspiel. \nFormat\nThe bonspiel has 90-minute games with a pool format. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games; cash prizes are awarded to A\, B\, and C winners. \nSchedule\nFriday night draws are at 6:30pm and 8:30pm; you can select your preferred draw time at registration. Pizza and snacks are available on Friday evening. \nThe first Saturday draw starts at 8:30am. Teams playing the early draw on Friday will play the early draw on Saturday. We will provide coffee\, a chilli lunch with all the fixins\, and a catered Saturday dinner. \nTheme\nClassic Christmas Movies! DESCRIPTION:Olympic Curling DayThis year’s Curling Day in Canada event is being taken over with Olympic Fever. It’s time for Olympic Curling Day! \nFrom 9:30 am to 11:30 am we will be having an Open House\, where we welcome members of the general public to learn about the club and get on the ice to throw a rock or two. Club members are encouraged to bring their family and friends to discover curling. We will also need on-ice and off-ice volunteers. \nThen\, starting at 12:00 pm we are running a Funspiel! Each team will play three 4-end games with different fun formats\, with cash prizes for game winners. In addition\, we will have the return of the PMCC Skills Competition\, a team-based event to test your draw and takeout skills. DESCRIPTION:Club ChampionshipThe purpose of this event is to bring together team members\, each representing their league in spirited and friendly competition at the end of the curling season. This has been a tradition of the Port Moody Curling for years. Have fun and play your best! \nEligibility\nEach league is allowed one representative team. Leagues with double draws or leagues with first half/second half registrations are permitted two teams. The tournament organizer reserves the right to invite additional teams. \nLeagues are encouraged to choose a team from their league based on the results/standings of their regular league competition. \nLower Mainland Championship\nTop-performing teams from our club championships will receive an invite to the Lower Mainland Club Championships\, held at the end of April in Langley. \nDay of Championship\nPlease stop by upstairs in the lounge before you start your first draw.
